Classic Napkin Ring Fold
The classic napkin ring fold in classy. It can be used for both formal and informal occasions. This fold can be arranged in two different ways, with either the simple, but elegant backside pulled through (at right), or with the more ornate front side showing (at bottom).

Begin with the napkin fully unfolded and flat on the table top.

Fold the napkin in half, bringing the bottom side to the top.
|
|

Fold the napkin in half again by bringing the left side over to the right.
|
|
Turn the napkin so the open sides face the top.
|
|
|
|
Fold the right side over as if dividing the napkin into thirds.
|
|
Do the same with the left side. The napkin should not look like a flattened waffle cone.

|
|
Finally, pull the narrow point of the napkin through the ring. Depending on what type of fold bend the middle either back or forward. The result can be either that appearing here or the photo at the top of the page.
